The Universal
Sling is appropriate in most situations and therefore
a good choice if you are uncertain about who is going
to be lifted. This sling provides support for the entire
back without closing in the patient’s head. If
additional support is required the high-back sling should
be considered.
Polyweave slings
are made from a soft feel fabric which is comfortable
and secure for both patient and caregiver. This fabric
can be spot cleaned and is safe to use after getting
wet making the sling reusable even in a hygiene environment.
With a safe working load of 300kg these patient specific
slings are strong enough to last for the entire duration
of the patient’s stay.
Patient specfic
slings are designed for use with one individual only
and should be disposed of at the end of the patient’s
stay. The patient’s name and date of issue can
be written on the spaces provided on the label. Should
the sling become soiled it should be disposed of and
replaced (although small marks can be spot cleaned).
Each sling is fitted with an anti-wash label which shows
a warning should the sling be put through a high temperature
wash.
